 Gin Grimes.... j sector spectre psychic, born in Namibia, moved to jozi at an early age. Immersed himself deeply into the hiphop and graffiti movement of the early 90's.
Coming up the old fashioned way of paying dues in battles and cyphers around JHB and the rest of SA, Gin Grimes won numerous battles such as Picking Boogers, eventually winning the Battle of the Year championship several times.
 
Underground veteran MC Gin-I Grindith has been widely known for thinking out of the box of conventional hiphop.  Through his high energy stage performances, and as one third of the hip-hop/theatre outfit, 'Abnormal Detail' with Hymphatic Thabs & Dj Raiko, Gin-I Grindith has become a house-hold name in the South African hip-hop scene.  In 2009 he finally dropped his long anticipated debut album Iron Tooth Monsters on which he examines life from a series of different perspectives, with unconventional, multi syllable wordplay, Iron Tooth Monsters takes the listener on an often bizzare, but always honest rollercoaster journey through JHB, the world, and the darker sides of reason.
 
Gin-I Grindith  toured Germany to promote his album, where he performed in Koln, Berlin and Bremen and collaborated with several artists including Metaphysics and Carl Prit.

He also runs the Graffiti shop Grayscale, which controls and distributes Montana products around SA, as well as running Scrambles4Money, SA's biggest Rap battle circuit.
